About

I am in love with photography for many years already.

After growing out of my first Olympus compact, I made a more serious approach with (borrowed) Leica equipment. Scanned pics from that time are available here.

With the digital age dawning, I switched to a Canon DSLR system. Since then, my focus is on improving my gear and – more importantly – my photographic skills. Judge yourself if there is hope – feedback is always welcome.

My favourite subjects these days are aircraft. That allows me to combine my 2 biggest passions – photography and aviation. But there is more in the portfolios than just aircraft.

My current location is Hamburg, Germany. I am always open for requests. Shootings, workshops, photo sales – please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Hallo Stefan, bin über deinen Post bei der AviComm hierher gekommen. Das sind ja ganz beeindruckende Bilder von Dir, besonders die vom Flensburger Hafen und von der Iran Air SP finde ich wirklich bemerkenswert. Mit Absicht verwende ich das Wort ‘Bild’, und nicht ‘Foto’. Nachdem die Quelle wohl die ‘harte’ Digicam war, hast du mit deiner Bearbeitung ein beeindruckend stimmungsvolles Bild geschaffen. Respekt!     Hallo Martin,
    vielen Dank für die netten Worte! Einige Bilder habe ich in der Tat mit einem speziellen Workflow bearbeitet – Pseudo-HDR, also ein HDR mit Tonemapping, das aus einer einzelnen RAW-Datei erzeugt wurde. Oft ist das die einzige Rettung für Bilder, die unter schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen aufgenommen wurden – so wie die 747SP. Wenn ich irgendwann mal die Zeit finde, stelle ich mal eine Beschreibung des Workflow online.

    I wonder if you could help me with the name of a plant I have in my yard in Germany. I really like them, but have no idea what they are called in English or in German. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
