Links
On this page, I would like to offer a few links to other photography-related sites or blogs which I visit regularly. Please check these sites as well, I am sure you will like them. The list will also be updated sporadically.
Photographers
Troy’s style is truly unique. His preferred motive is nightly junkyards and abandoned places, which he illuminates with artificial light sources. The effect is stunning, a must-see.
Kevin’s main focus is on birds – both feathered and metal ones. No matter which motive you prefer, Kevin’s work is masterful on all fields. 35 years of experience speak for themselves.
Jeff is a photographer from San Francisco, as well as a fellow member of netAirspace.com. I had the pleasure to meet him in Miami in March 2010. His areas of photographic interest are quite similar to mine – aviation, nature, landscape, night shots. I enjoy the conversations with him as much as his photos, and really admire his talent to always find the best possible angle for his motives.
Photo Sites
Google’s picture service allows you to upload pictures that, if being accepted after screening, may be included in Google Earth. (Link to my pictures)
German photo community hosting pictures of countless international photographers from various genres. (Link to my pictures)
Aviation
A new project that was recently started by several members (including myself) of other air and space websites. Right now, we have a very active forum set up on this server. You can find us under above link. The website and photo database are currently being developed, and soon, the project will move to its own server.
Aviation Community Norddeutschland
This German forum’s community focuses mostly on northern German airports, especially Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel (HAM) and Finkenwerder (XFW).
JetPhotos currently features the world’s biggest aviation photo database. (Link to my pictures)
For a long time, ‘a.net’ was the undisputed #1 of all aviation-related websites. However, the site has seen some rough times over the past months, and it seems as if its popularity is fading a little. (Link to my pictures)
Blogs
Timo’s blog about Hamburg’s Airport. Interesting news and photos of current movements can be found here.
Beercraft
An American blog focusing on – surprise – beer, both local (Rochester, NY) and international ones. Definitely worth a read, as Mark sure knows what he is talking about (I had the privilege of having a few with him
).
