Hallo Britta,

das ist richtig. Im englischen Sprachraum ist es allerdings eher ungewöhnlich, dass eine “Cathedral” kein Bischofssitz ist, daher die Erwähnung.

Irina und ich hatten uns erst Samstags morgens ganz spontan entschlossen, das Wochenende nach Berlin zu fahren, nachdem die Wettervorhersage für Hamburg Regen und für Berlin Sonne prognostiziert hatte (was dann auch so war). Deswegen haben wir uns nirgends gemeldet, sondern uns das volle Touri-Programm für die eineinhalb Tage aufgebrummt.

Das war anstrengend, aber schön. So schön, dass wir bestimmt nochmal wiederkommen.

Schönes Bild von “meiner” Kirche. Sag aber nicht, dass du im Oktober in Berlin warst, ohne dass wir ein Bier zusammen getrunken haben…

Übrigens ist der Berliner Dom nicht der einzige protestantische Dom. Die Bezeichnungen gehen oft (so auch hier) noch zurück auf die vorreformatorische Zeit…

vielen Dank für die netten Worte! Einige Bilder habe ich in der Tat mit einem speziellen Workflow bearbeitet – Pseudo-HDR, also ein HDR mit Tonemapping, das aus einer einzelnen RAW-Datei erzeugt wurde. Oft ist das die einzige Rettung für Bilder, die unter schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen aufgenommen wurden – so wie die 747SP. Wenn ich irgendwann mal die Zeit finde, stelle ich mal eine Beschreibung des Workflow online.

Hallo Stefan, bin über deinen Post bei der AviComm hierher gekommen. Das sind ja ganz beeindruckende Bilder von Dir, besonders die vom Flensburger Hafen und von der Iran Air SP finde ich wirklich bemerkenswert. Mit Absicht verwende ich das Wort ‘Bild’, und nicht ‘Foto’. Nachdem die Quelle wohl die ‘harte’ Digicam war, hast du mit deiner Bearbeitung ein beeindruckend stimmungsvolles Bild geschaffen. Respekt! Indeed, I would prefer as well if Cooliris would support linux. Maybe there is still hope – the developers have stated that they would like to support linux, as soon as time would allow it.

But saying that it’s not tolerable may be a bit harsh. Cooliris is not mandatory to view this or other websites, it’s just a bonus. If it were mandatory, then I would indeed not use it. After all, the site should be accessible for as many visitors as possible.

So I hope that those who can’t or don’t want to use Cooliris will still enjoy the site. If there is something I could add to enhance the experience, please let me know – I’m always open for suggestions!

Have you named the donkey on the Chania waterfront?
Clearly a macho animal with a softie look, even this ‘beast of burden’ is likely to attract a hug from the lady admirers.
Reminds me a little of Boris Johnson, the new Mayor of London.
I have placed a link for my web site visitors , mainly Britons to see ‘your’ parked donkey.
The “No Parking” photo makes a fabulous picture post card.
