Sandlake Dunes, Oregon / USA. September 1995.
We reached Sandlake Dunes in foggy weather. Strolling through the sand towards the Pacific Ocean, all we heard was the everlasting swell of the surf. I tried to capture the atmosphere before my friends vanished in the fog.

Pacific Coast, Oregon / USA. September 1995.
Third and last picture of the Pacific Coast series. Next stop on our journey will be foggy Sandlake Dunes.

Pacific Coast, Oregon / USA. September 1995.
Another reworked picture of the beautiful Oregon Pacific Coast. But as with the first one, I cannot name the exact location where it was taken.

This one, I uploaded earlier already, but reworked it since. Still no idea where exactly this picture was taken. Any helpful hint would be welcome.

Portland, Oregon / USA. September 1995.
Park at the Rose Garden.
Next stop on our journey was Portland, with its beautiful Rose Garden. Something tells me that Claude Monet would have liked this scene…

Seattle, Washington / USA. September 1995.
View from the Space Needle.
Evening view on Downtown Seattle. Above the old Kingdome, former home of the Seattle Mariners baseball team, you can see a faint image of Mount Rainier.

Seattle, Washington / USA. September 1995.
Space Needle Silhouette.
Our trip started in Seattle, which we reached via Chicago. Of course, we had to visit Seattle’s landmark, the Space Needle.

Scanned from print.

Redwood National Park, California / USA. September 1995.
Feeling really small under some really, really big trees…

Arches National Park, Utah / USA. September 1995.
The famous Double-O Arch, on of many natural arches in this spectacular national park. The opening scene to the Indiana Jones 3 movie (The Last Crusade) was filmed here.

Grand Canyon, Arizona / USA. September 1995.
I was very happy about the partly cloudy sky the day we visited the Grand Canyon. The shadows cast by the clouds made the enourmos dimensions of the landscape more perceptible.

Bryce Canyon, Utah / USA. September 1995.
The Bryce Canyon Amphitheater with the famous Hoodoos. We stayed overnight near the National Park, and went back next morning at 6am, to see a gorgeous sunrise. With all the impressive landscapes we saw during our trip through the United States, it is difficult to say which one I liked best. But this one is definitely a candidate.
